Job Description - Mold Remediation/Water Damage Lead

A qualified Lead Technician must be ready and able to work in compliance with S500/S520 standards and all safety regulations relative to restoration/construction/remediation conditions and projects. They must adhere to and maintain office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, documentation, communications and accountability to job and company requirements. This is a working lead position not strictly an administrative/supervisory position.

Job Responsibilities

-Execution of field work involved in mold remediation projects and water damage mitigation/structural drying while under direct or indirect supervision.
-Direct and supervise project-assigned team members to maintain competent completion of their duties.
-Ensure completion of all job-specific responsibilities, including but not necessarily limited to; time sheets, daily work reports or file notes, photos and customer communications.
-Understand project’s detailed scope-of-work to ensure full completion of any project and/or maintain close records of work completed for time and materials invoicing, project schedules, and company policies and procedures.
-Work safely and ensure that the crew is working safely during all phases of performing the job duties required in the field.
-Ability to perform work inside areas of varying dimensions; involving squatting and crawling for possible extended periods.
-Ability to follow directions; read/speak and understand English; read and understand common danger placards / labels and hazardous warning literature including site safety plans. Bi-lingual capacity is desirable but not required.
-The ability to safely drive and perform safety checks on all vehicles for which licensed.
-Must be able to understand and comply with company and client safety standards.
-Be excited to keep and maintain company tools and equipment in a high state of readiness including re-stocking all necessary parts/accessories and consumables, washing after use, adding fuel etc.
-Water damage mitigation and mold remediation work is dynamic in nature and relative to the diversity of both scheduled and non-scheduled projects, physical demands, and environmental conditions vary significantly depending on the project and all employees must be able to navigate these conditions effectively.
-Able to competently work through varying levels of physical activities and physical strain such as, walking, crouching, use of hands, and heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds or more.
-Must be clean shaven at all times to allow immediate donning and seal of respirator.
-Must be ready and able to use basic hand tools, small power tools such as drills/saws etc. in the restoration environment.

Qualifications

-Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills) and at least one year experience leading mold remediation and/or water damage projects.
-Additional experience in related work (emergency response, manual labor, general construction, industrial cleaning) is preferred.
-Qualified employees will possess IICRC certifications in; WTR, ASD, AMRT/S and have or be willing to take appropriate safety training classes/certifications.
-A valid driver's license and insurable driving record is required.
-Bi-lingual capacity is desirable but not required.
