JOB TITLE: Construction Technician CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
STATUS: Full-Time SUPERVISORY: None
REPORTS TO: Project Manager
Role and Responsibilities
Construction Technician works directly with Project Manager and Lead Technician to ensure projects are completed efficiently and with a high level of competency.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to work Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Must be detail-oriented and have good verbal skills and a neat/clean appearance
• Must be able to use technology to update job progress in software
• Demonstrate the ability to use hand and power tools.
• Clean and maintain tools.
• Follow safety standard.
• Experience shaping or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand and or power tools
• Experience cutting or drilling openings as necessary for installation or repair of plumbing or fixtures
• Experience hanging fixtures
• Experience installing flooring laying tile
• Experience hanging drywall, mud, texture and painting
• Experience installing cabinets
• Experience with finish carpentry, installing windows and doors/jams
• Experience framing
• Demolition experience
• Experience roofing
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Keen Vision and ability to read fine print instructions and measurements in varied degrees of light.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, climb, crawl and work in confined spaces or from heights
• Physical stamina to maintain high level of activity or long periods of time.
